ThermoFocus thermometers are the first true non-contact instant read thermometers to be CE and FDA marked and have approval for use as a medical device in a clinical environment.

Temperature Measurement

Body temperature is measured by pointing the THERMOFOCUS thermometer at the centre of the forehead. The corrrect distance between the skin and the thermometer for a correct measurement is easily determined thanks to a LED system emitting two light beams (normal red light which is totally safe).

As the thermometer is moved closer to the skin and reaches the right distance (approx. 3cm), the two beams converge to form a single red spot. Release the button and keep the thermometer still for less than one second until the lights flash and the temperature appears in the LCD display.

There is no need for concern if the aiming lights are pointed into the eyes: the beams are absolutely harmless and are not laser lights. In case the subject (e.g. a child) is moving, crying or has a perspiring forehead, it is possible to take the temperature on the neck, just below the ear.

Models Available

Thermofocus 01500A3 is designed for professional users or families that require maximum accuracy and flexibility of temperature taking. It guarantees the same performance of model 0700, with an additional button (“home”) which allows the user to easily and directly read the temperature of objects as well as other areas of the body, in a range from 1 and 55 degrees C (33.8 degrees F to 131 degrees F). The LCD display automatically shows room temperature when in stand-by. This model is provided with both the AQCS and the MQCS (Manual Quick Calibration System) technologies.

Thermofocus 0700A2 is the most advanced thermometer a family can own to precisely measure body temperature. Totally hygienic, without touching, Thermofocus reads infrared radiation naturally emitted by the surface of the skin and calculates the whole body temperature. Simply hold the thermometer close to the centre of the forehead and release the activating button. It can also be used to take the temperature of objects such as a baby’s feeding bottle by simply subtracting the value written on the product. The memory button allows to recall the last 9 measurements. The 0700A2 model is provided with the AQCS (Automatic Quick Calibration System) technology.
