What's new...

Forced Air Warming Disrupts Laminar Air Flow.

Much has been made of the fact that Forced Air Warming is noisy, expensive and contamination-prone. It's an aging technology that is disliked by many people, from Nurses who have to move the units around to Anaesthetists who have to warm in an inexpensive and efficacious manner, to Surgeons who complain of overheating, to Finance Departments who are paying high rates for disposables; let alone the ancillary staff who have to try to clean the uncleanable! ®

Now however, there is more information to show that air-free warming is the way forward. As the video below indicates, Forced Air Warming actually disrupts the Laminar Air Flow, rendering it useless.
